Mini Sprints are smaller versions of
Sprint and Midget racers, with 4 cycle motorcycle engines displacing a
maximum of 600cc. The cars with stock engines must weigh a minimum of
750 pounds including driver, while those utilizing modified engines
must weigh 825 pounds. These cars are very quick due to a great power
to weight ratio. To equalize competition, a "spec" Hoosier racing tire
is used on the rear of every car. These cars run lap times in the
14 to 15 second range reaching a top speed of 80 MPH.
